Hallett - The funeral of Mr David Roy Hallett, of Goon Nure, will leave Our Chapel, 613 Main Street, Bairnsdale, after a service commencing at 1.00pm on Monday (Aug. 4), 2025, for the Bairnsdale Lawn Cemetery. Hallett - David Roy of Goon Nure. 31st July 1959 - 19th July 2025 Passed away peacefully surrounded by family. Beloved husband of Anita. Loved and cherished father of Katie, Becky and Jack. Loved and respected father-in-law of Simon, James and Bianca. Proud and much loved Pa of Jimmy, Annie, Max, Sophie, Georgie, Henry and Olivia. Loved son of Gordon and Heather Hallett (both dec.). Dear brother of Sue and Marnie. “A quiet unassuming man, you were loved and respected by all who knew you. Your sense of humour, friendship and willingness to roll up your sleeves and help wherever you could, was appreciated by all. You were so proud of all your family, and you loved being Pa to the growing number of grandchildren. You always saw the best in people, and loved the ‘Rough Diamonds’ of this world. A loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, brother-in-law and friend. You were our rock and our hero, and we will miss you every day. Rest in Peace, your work has been done.” David’s family would like to thank everyone for the enormous support and overwhelming offers of help from so many in our local community, our extended families and friends.
