Volk (née Sawyer) - The funeral service of Mrs Alison ‘Ali’ Volk of Bairnsdale, will be held at the Bairnsdale Uniting Church, Great Alpine Road, Lucknow on Thursday (Apr. 11), 2024, at 10.30am. Private Cremation Alison’s funeral service will be streamed here. Volk (née Sawyer) - Alison ‘Ali’ of Bairnsdale. Passed away surrounded by members of her loving family, on 2nd April 2024, aged 70 years. Loved daughter of Alice and Herbert (both dec.). Cherished sister of Barry, Raeleen, and Christopher (all dec.). Dearly loved mother of Rachel, Paul, and Erin. Loving mother-in-law of Stephen, and Kerryn. Devoted Nan of Jack and Riley; Braidy, Ollie, and Coden; Milly and Wylie. Wonderful Aunty of Phillipa, Warrick, and their loving families. Mum, My heart is broken into a million pieces. Life will not be the same without you here with us. You were always so selfless and giving and I owe you so much for the life that I have. I wish there was more time with you but I am relieved you are no longer in pain. Your strength and courage through your illness was inspiring to us all. We will look for the brightest star, rainbows in the rain and butterflies in the garden to know you are watching over us. There are no goodbyes for us. Love Riley. x Dear Mum, Thanks for everything you have done for us. Looking after you while you fought your final battle has been my greatest honour. I only hope I have made you proud, as I couldn’t be prouder to call you my Mum. Until we meet again, “Love you one Nan”, thanks for the toys and lollies. You are forever in our hearts. Paul, Kerryn, Braidy, Ollie and Coden. Aunty Al, Thankyou for all that you have taught us and for your love. We will miss you. Pippy and Waz. Mum /Nan, your courageous strength was evident throughout your life, especially during your final years. You will be sadly missed however cheekily remembered for your unique qualities including your fine art of collecting treasured items, your unique and quirky animal family and your no shooting policy. May you now rest peacefully reunited with your beloved family and animals. Erin, Jim, Milly, Wylie and Bellbell. -xxx- We would like to extend our warmest thanks to everyone who has cared for our beloved Mum during her illness. Maree and Rhiannon, your exceptional kindness and care in Mums final days will always be remembered. Rotamah Ward staff, District Nursing and Palliative Care teams, Dr Daryl Smith and all at Macleod Street Medical Centre. To all of Mums wonderful friends who have gone above and beyond to care, help and support her and us in so many ways, thankyou. We are forever thankful and grateful to you all.
