Garro - Requiem mass for the repose of the soul of Mr Sebastiano ‘Beni’ Garro of Bairnsdale, will be offered at St Mary’s Catholic Church, Bairnsdale on Saturday (Dec. 21), 2024, at 11.00am. The funeral will leave the church at the conclusion of prayers for the Bairnsdale Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at St Mary’s prior to the mass at 10.30am. Beni’s funeral service will be streamed here. Garro - Sebastiano ‘Beni’. Born in Cassaro, Sicily on 23rd July 1931. Resided at Mt. Taylor for many years. Passed away peacefully in Bairnsdale surrounded by family, at age 93, on 11th December 2024. Dearly loved and adored husband of Maria, cherished father of Angelina, Pauline, Paul (dec.), and Carolina (dec.) and loved father-in-law of Tony, Chris and Lyn. Adored by his eight grandchildren and their partners; Joseph and Kymm, Adrian and Jessica, Karina, Allanah, Jeremy and Suwatjanee (Puki), Makayla and John, Michael and Maddy and Raymond. Loved great grandfather of Lochie, Zack, Alex, Thomas, Sam, Lewis, Elijah, Lucy, Leo and Dakota. Fond uncle of Benjamin and well loved by many relatives in Australia and Italy. Beni valued his friends far and wide and was a great friend to all! God saw that you were weary, He did what he thought best, He put his arms around you, And called you home to rest.
